Gush Katif .... Unsettled & Unsettling!

The complete withdrawal of Israel from the Gaza Strip which began from the day after Tisha B'Av in 2005,  uprooted and removed 21 Israeli "settlements" within the Gaza Strip totalling about 9,000 people, the largest "settlement" area in Gaza being Gush Katif and wherein the exiles from this area now take their name.   I have put the word 'settlement' in parentheses here because it is the wrong word.  They were not the pioneering outposts people think of habitually when that disparaging term is used.  These were neighbourhoods, as built up as any suburban area that you or I inhabit today.

Scandalously,  Ariel Sharon,  then Prime Minister of Israel went against his own people & all historical support and the expulsion of Jews from their own homeland followed.  Another disparaging term was applied here ... "Disengagement". In the year leading up to the "disengagement" the colour orange identified people, restaurants, and stores, not only in the Gush Katif area, but throughout Eretz Yisrael as against the withdrawal of Israelis from their homes in Gaza loomed. Our land. The prominent slogan of the opposition movement was,  Yehudi lo megaresh Yehudi ~ A Jew doesn't expel a Jew. But they were .... They were evicted from the entire area and their homes demolished as part of Israel's unilateral disengagement plan. It is Shameful that Jews were treated to this by their own people. The greatest tragedy of our times, the tragedy of Gush Katif ~ in fact, the end of legal Jewish residence in Gush Katif ~ happened on Tisha B'Av in 2005. We All need to grieve for Gush Katif!!

And today marks the Seventh Anniversary of the Giving of Gush Katif to our Arab enemy in the vain hope of some mythical 'Peace'. Seven years on that Aspiration lies trampled, the pain of those torn from Gush Katif remains real. Even today, many have not been given the opportunity to rebuild their homes or their lives, and not their community that was ripped away from them.  And Gaza has become not only
Judenrein, but a launching pad to unleash terror into Eretz Yisrael on a sustained basis.  Rockets Rain on Southern Israel Regularly, as do Missiles of various sort, including the detonating human variety.

Gush Katif was a strip of land bordering Gaza where 21 Jewish communities had turned the desert to bloom .... it boasted some of the highest developed Green House farming projects in Israel, and indeed, in the world. A 'Breadbasket' of Israel, yet today, it is part of the Gaza centre of a 'palestinian' terrorist hell-hole. And it is 'Judenrein' !!! That's right, Zero Israelis, dead or alive, remain in Gaza. The Orchards & thriving farmland that were so treasured in Gush Katif have been Razed. Nothing Remains!

Israel's government, leaned over backwards to appease the anti-Semite nations of the world who wanted, according to the Road Map Peace Plan, a 'palestinian' State to share Eretz Yisrael, the ONLY Jewish State on the planet, with Jews by creating "two viable, secure states living in peace side by side". This has been shown to be a falsity & a farce.  The Arab plan of gaining Eretz Yisrael in "Pieces" remains intact!!

In retrospect, the recklessness of that move has become all too apparent, as Gaza has been transformed into a launching pad for rocket attacks against the Jewish state, leaving southern towns and cities across the Negev, such as Sderot, in the crosshairs of palestinian terrorists. The fiasco of Israel’s retreat has led many of those who supported the move to publicly admit the error of their ways. In November 2007, former Defence Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer of the Labour Party told an Israeli radio station, “I admit and I confess that I was among those who strongly supported Ariel Sharon (and the withdrawal). Today I say, with my head held high, ‘We erred, we made a very big mistake.’” Amein to that!!

Other senior Israeli military officers, pundits, journalists, and politicians have likewise acknowledged that the Gaza pull-out has proven to be ill-advised. And neither, I might add, can I understand it either. Indeed, it is still hard to accept that the forcible removal of Gaza’s Jews took place, or to believe that we could have possibly reached such a low point in the history of our nation. After so many years of struggle and sacrifice, those once celebrated as pioneers by successive Israeli governments were demonized as obstacles to peace and treated with contempt by much of the Israeli media. The Israel Defence Forces were deployed against the citizens of their own state, with the express purpose not of defending the Jewish people but of exiling them from parts of their ancestral birthright. And withdrawal under fire, once derided as capitulation to terror, suddenly became official government policy.

So, on 18th, August 2005, Israel carried out its "disengagement initiative", handing over all of Gaza and part of the West Bank to the Arab enemy ~ poor palestinians ~ making the tiny Jewish State the first country in modern history to give up land acquired in a defensive war. The forced evacuation of Jewish citizens from Gush Katif by their own government rival the discriminating and brutal treatment of Jews by Jew-hating German authorities under Hitler ~ but this time in their own Land. Ha'Shems Land .... Not ours to Give away at all!

The Anti - Semitic world was gleeful, trumpeting the evacuation of Gaza as signaling the end of the dream of “Greater Israel.” But I believe they could not have been more mistaken. For the dream of return rightly lives on. It might take years or even decades to achieve, but of one thing we can all be sure .... the Jewish people will eventually bounce back, just as we have throughout our history. And soon enough, the sand dunes of Gaza will once again most assuredly be Eretz Yisrael! B'Zereth Ha'Shem!!

Biased Broadcasting Corporation!!

Hours before the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games and the BBC still refuses to acknowledge the fact that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel,  just like London is the capital of the United Kingdom.  The BBC has no right to decide which city is Israel's capital,  or do I get to decide that Edinburgh is a more fitting Capital City for the UK.  Or Maybe Dublin???

This is just reflecting the British Bias and its Anti Semitic Animosity towards Israel, a stance that has been in operation throughout my 29 years of life and before  ....  It was Britain who illegally  handed over TransJordan to the Hashemite Kingdom (illegal under all agreements) and created Jordan out of land that was deeded to Eretz Yisrael, the homeland for the Jewish people by the San Remo Conference and Agreement, after the break up of the Ottoman Empire.  Another would be excercise in Fraud .... 85% of the present State of Jordan belongs to Yisrael, as does ALL of the land presently in the possession of the Jewish State.  Plus more in fact!!!!!  It is they,  the British,  who have laid the seed of the 'palestinian' problem.   Anti Semitism lies at the heart of the matter, as it has done through all the decades of this century.

How come the BBC cannot tell the difference between a REAL country (Israel) and an IMAGINARY one (palestine)???   And to present the real Eretz Yisrael as a Country without a Capital??

But, according to BBC Sports, Israel has NO capital. Don't let the media delegitimize Israel's claim to Jerusalem as its capital. Take action now and support Israel's demand that the BBC corrects its error. Send your complaints directly to BBC Sport.  Let's Put the Pressure On. Now.  There is No better time than this,  when the Olympics capture the publicity of the Sporting World.  Anti Semitic as those Games may be!!

Oppose the Biased Broadcasting Corporation's inconsistent & irrational stance.  Jerusalem is the Capital City of Israel and that is a FACT!!

BBC ..... A Capital Crime??

Jerusalem is the undivided and eternal Capital City of the Jewish State of Israel. We need to remind the BBC & the World of this Fact this week!!!

So, it was with horrified surprise that I realised earlier this week as I looked at the 'new' news in sport webpage of the the UK’s main public broadcaster, the BBC,  that Israel was the only country listed without a Capital City,  yet the fictional entity of 'palestine' has East Jerusalem listed as it's Capital.  Does the British Broadcasting Corporation not have access to any actual,  factual geographical information then????  It appears not.  Or maybe it is just Arab Appeasment & Anti Semitism which Already Abounds in the IOC being reflected in the BBC???   However this deliberate slight occurred it certainly calls into question the competence of the broadcaster (and the UK itself given it's stance re the Munich Massacre) to host this event.

How come the IOC or the BBC cannot tell the difference between a REAL country (Israel) and an IMAGINARY one (palestine)???   And to present the real Eretz Yisrael as a Country without a Capital??

Comedic events follow as an anti-semitic world try to put Jews down.  Again.  And as another comedic aside, US Foreign Secretary, Hilary Clinton was IN Jerusalem earlier this week.  She too needs some serious geography tuition as she was unsure whether Jerusalem was in Israel or not.  Geeesss .... it beggars belief, doesn't it??

And All just to publically express Anti Semitism!!!!

Anyways,  the UK’s main public broadcaster, the BBC,  has now agreed to list Jerusalem as Israel's 'seat of government' following a complaint by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office that it had not listed Jerusalem as the Israeli capital (which is geographically correct), but did mention ‘East Jerusalem’ as the capital of the invented entity ‘palestine' (which would be geographically an absolute invention).   Mark Regev, Netanyahu's foreign press adviser and spokesman, wrote a letter of protest to Paul Danahar, the BBC Middle East bureau chief, on Wednesday, saying that he was "dismayed by the BBC's decision to discriminate against Israel on the BBC's Olympic website."  The site includes a page devoted to each of the countries taking part in the London Games, which will begin next week.

Regev wrote the BBC bureau chief that "every country (and non-country ) participating in the London 2012 Games has been given a page on your website with background information about the country, including mention of the capital city. Every country (and non-country) except Israel. Jerusalem is the capital of the State of Israel, and accordingly we respectfully request the immediate rectification of this matter".

So, today
Israel, shorn of its capital, appears with the cumbersome and questionable listing as having its “seat of government is Jerusalem though most foreign embassies are in Tel Aviv.” And as for “palestine,” its key fact is that its “intended seat of government is East Jerusalem.”  For now, however,  it at least has an “administrative capital” which is Ramallah.  More refelctive of reality!

The BBC’s choice raises questions, quite serious ones,  which relate to and have implications for how media outlets operate?

Why would a reputable news site independently recognize 'palestine' as a state and declare East Jerusalem as its capital, when the UN and the rest of the world does not ~  and when the arabs who call themselves 'palestinian' de facto have zero say or sovereignty over what goes on in their supposed “capital?”    And does the BBC refusal to list Jerusalem as Israel’s capital mean it does not recognize Israeli sovereignty in lands that have been Jewish for more than three thousand years??

Does this mean news corporations and their internet sites have the prerogative to recognize any entity they want as a country and proclaim its capital?   According to what standards should news sites adhere to when it comes to terroritory that is falsely claimed ~ the facts on the ground,  or their 'political' vision for the future no matter how unwelcome or unreal?

Let's bear in mind too, that both Jeremy Hunt, Minister for Culture in the UK and Lord Sebastian Coe,  Chairman of the IOC and ex Olympian athlete,  have both shunned implementing a minute's silence for the Munich Massacred because it would 'politicise' the games.  The Height of Hypocrisy, I know!

Animosity to Jewish Israel & Appeasement of Arab Anti Semitism is the order today in the UK today.  This calls to Question it's impartiality & suitability as an Olympic Host venue.

BOYCOTT THE GAMES!!!!!!!!!

Bulgaria Bus Bomb .....

Terrorists blew up a bus of Israeli tourists in Bulgaria yesterday, killing at least seven people ~ five Israeli tourists, a Bulgarian bus driver and the bomber in the Black Sea resort town of Burgas, a popular destination for Israeli tourists ~  & wounding up to 40 more. Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu immediately identified Iran as the most likely state sponsor of the attack, and announced that Israel would respond vigorously to the targeting of its citizens.  The incident took place in the Black Sea resort city of Burgas, some 250 miles east of the capital, Sofia. Images shown on the media showed smoke billowing from the scene ~ a Car Park at the area’s airport where tourists had apparently just landed and were about to be bussed to their resort hotel.

Black smoke billowed into the sky from the stricken bus after the bomb exploded. Young Israelis said they were just boarding when the blast ripped through the vehicle in the airport parking lot. Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said at least seven people were killed. And about 40 injured it appears.  On a Sunny Afternoon en route to a beach resort from the Airport ..... where does one find words??

Words of Sadness.  Words of Regret.  Words of Comfort.  Words of Revenge.  Words of Torah.  There are no words that can fix the hole this leaves in the lives of the families.  In the lives of Eretz Yisrael.  In the heart of Jews. For that is why.  They were Jews.  K'Ish Echad, B'Lev Echad.

President Barack Obama termed it a “barbaric terrorist attack” and called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to pledge U.S. help in finding the perpetrators.  Really???   Perhaps if he released Pollard we would be more convinced re his worry at Jewish Lives!?!?!?!?!?!?

Today is a day for tears. Not words.  Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu Melech Haolam, Dayan Ha'emet.  I'm Upset. Perhaps tomorrow I'll blog some stories.

May Ha'Shem avenge the blood of those who were murdered and may their loved ones be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.  May their Neshamot have an Aliyah.  May their Memory be for a Blessing in a world that doesn't care for Jewish Blood!

Not One Minute!!!

Ankie Spitzer
, whose husband Andre was one of the athletes massacred in the Munich Games n 1972, told the European Jewish Press that Jacques Rogge, president of the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games, told her  that his “hands were tied” by the admission of 46 Arab and Muslim members to the International Olympic Committee. She replied, “My husband’s hands were tied, not yours.”

This lady has been conducting a battle to convince the International Olympics Committee to remember the slain athletes with one minute of silence before the opening of the Games in London next week. It never has done so since the murders 40 years ago.  And it will not do so next week either, it seems.

Great Britain's Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Jeremy Hunt, will not join the international campaign. There have been calls for a moment of silence from around the world which include governments. From fifty members of the British Parliament, including Dame Tessa Jowell,  British Shadow Minister for the Olympics, German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle,  and the German Bundestag, one hundred and forty members of the Italian Parliament, about 100 Australian members of Parliament including the Prime Minister and the opposition leader, the Canadian parliament, and the US Senate both unanimously passed resolutions calling for a moment of silence.

As Jews we have a duty of Zakhor ...... These men were sons, fathers,  uncles,  brothers, friends,  teammates,  athletes.  They came to Munich in 1972 to compete as athletes in the Olympics,  they came in peace and went home in coffins, murdered in the Olympic Village and during hostage negotiations.  It should be obvious that the murder of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics, at an event that is suppose to represent global competition in the spirit of sporting events must never be forgotten.  That Marking the Massacre and telling the world the International Olympic Committee with the families that 40 Years of ignoring this attrocity is Enough!!

The Games continued during the hostage crisis itself, but eventually they were halted for a few hours. When they were re-started, it was with a memorial service held in the Olympic Stadium, attended by many of the competing athletes. Ten nations opposed to the existence of the State of Israel requested that their flags not be flown at half-mast during the ceremony. As disrespectful as this was to the spirit of Olympic competition, the IOC acquiesced and granted this request.  The massacre of 11 Israeli athletes was not considered sufficiently serious to merit cancelling or postponing of the Olympics.  Nor has it been seen as serious since by the IOC.   Is that because they were Jews????  Truly, the world cares nothing for Jewish Blood!

“Incredibly, they're going on with it,” Jim Murray of the Los Angeles Times wrote at the time. “It's almost like having a dance at Dachau.” ...... WWII Death Camp, less than 10 miles away!

Not all the athletes stayed however, and the Israeli team did not continue to compete in the Games.  How could they???    Why would anyone want a medal from such tainted games??   The doctrine of the Olympic Spirit is supposedly “to build a peaceful and better world which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play,"  but these Jewish athletes who went to the Olympics in peace, friendship and sportsmanship have not received fair play nor have their families received understanding.

Read the Full Story of the Munich Massacre which I blogged previously here ..... http://princesspana.blogspot.ie/2011/09/olympic-orgy-munich-massacre.html

Lord Coe has stated that he does not want the Games politicised ... how on earth is supporting Islams skewed stance against Israel and threats to walk out if this minute of silence was held not 'political'???    The Israeli athletes have their City registered as Tel Aviv. This is not the Capital City of Israel, yet 'palestinians' have their 'capital' registered as Jerusalem ??? .... Another Arab invention. How is this not 'political'???

In Munich in 1972 the anti semitic IOC did not stop the games, in fact they pandered to 10 arab nations who refused to have their flags flown at 'half mast' because they did not recognise the Jewish State of Israel. The games should have been stopped then when 11 of its participants were massacred. They weren't.  Was this not 'political'??

A moment of silence was held during the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Whistler Canada in 2010 for Nodar David Kumaritashvili, killed during a training crash. He was not murdered and he was not a Jew.  Why was this not 'political'??

No, Political is not the watchword here ...  Appeasement & Anti-Semitism are!!!  Just like it was in Munich in 1972,   and in Berlin in 1936.   Anti Semitism is the order of the day and of the Olympic games.  So what should we as Jews do???

The Opening Ceremony is on Shabbat ... Another Snub to Jews.  President Peres has stated that he will not attend the ceremony as it is on Shabbat.  So,  NO JEW should attend. Honour Ha'Shem not the Greek Games. Honour Ha'Shem & our Heroes.  Let's not continue to Appease Anti-Semitism!!!!

Observe Shabbat, not the Opening Ceremony ... nor any of the tainted games.  Not One Minute!!!!

BOYCOTT THE OLYMPICS!!!!!    BOYCOTT THE GREEK GAMES!!!!!

Crusade & Crime .... it's christian history !!

Today, July 15th, 1099,  saw the First Crusade of the Roman Catholic Church conquer Jerusalem to establish their 'Kingdom'.  These xtians massacred many, many Jews. Their 'end time prophetic' agenda has not changed, nor has their intent to rule Jerusalem and masscre Jews.  The Story of the Crimes of christianity is one which lasts from the time when it obtained civil power up to the present day.

Among the best-known events of the Middle Ages, the Crusades were a series of armed expeditions by European xtians to conquer Ereẓ Israel from the muslims or to repel their counter attacks. The explicit cause was the reports received from Jerusalem concerning the alledged maltreatment of pilgrims and the manner in which xtian access to the Holy Places was obstructed. In many of these reports, the malevolence of Jews was stressed, so that from the beginning the ground was prepared for including the Jews in the freshly stimulated animosity against 'unbelievers',  indeed at the period of the analogous expeditions of French knights to assist the Spanish xtians against the Moors (c. 1065), the Jews of Narbonne and elsewhere had been attacked (apparentley notwithstanding the admonitions of Pope Alexander II).  It was originally intended that the crusaders should concern themselves solely with the success of their expedition overseas, without intervening in the affairs of the xtian countries of Europe. However, precisely because the crusaders ignored this stipulation, the Crusade was partially deflected from its initial course, with murderous consequences for the Jews of Europe too.

Historians have traditionally bracketed these campaigns between the years 1095, when Pope Urban II preached the First Crusade, and 1291, when the Mamelukes, a caste of muslim slave soldiers, conquered the city of Acre (Israel), bringing to an end any significant European xtian presence in the Holy Land, B"H. Historians disagree over the exact number of crusades, though most agree that there were either seven or eight in total.  I shall assume there was eight and look at such in this blog.    Although Western European xtians lost to date their last significant base in the Middle East in the late thirteenth century, they have continued to make minor attempts to recover territory for centuries, up to and including our own.

The consequences of the early crusades for the Jews of Western Europe were dramatic. Long embedded in the European psyche is the notion of Jews as the enemies of christ. The year 1096 was a notably devastating one for German Jews. Whereas John, bishop of the German city of Speyer, was willing and able to afford some protection to the Jews of his diocese, the Jews of Worms were not as lucky. Turned on by their neighbours and unable to be protected effectively by the town's bishop, many in this city were massacred or forced to convert. The Jews of Mainz also fell prey to violence, and many chose to die by their own hands rather than succumb to the crusaders cruelty.  Suddenly and tragically,  the once renowned Jewish community of Mainz was decimated in a single blow, with this the worst attack on Jews during the First Crusade, where anywhere from seven hundred to thirteen hundred Jews were slain in one campaign.   As they made their way through Germany, the peoples crusade reportedly reasoned that if they had a duty to fight the muslim infidel in the Holy Land, then they had an equal responsibility to deal with the Jewish infidel of Europe. As a result, some of the participants of the first wave actively sought out German Jews and offered them the disturbing choice of death or conversion to xtianity, which amounts to Spiritual Death for the Jewish neshama.  This resulted in the slaughter of thousands of Jews who were unwilling to abandon Yiddishkeit.

The Second Crusade brought more attacks upon the Jews of Europe, although none were as severe as those of 1096.  The Third Crusade, which came on the heels of the coronation of King Richard I of England,  inflamed anti-Jewish passions once again. Riots broke out in London in 1189, followed by others in the kingdom which destroyed a number of Jewish communities. Clearly, then, the Crusades had disastrous social and cultural consequences for Europe's Jews. They had highly negative economic consequences as well, because anti-Jewish violence was not only a religious instrument, it was also a financial one that could be used to force Jews to forgive the debts of the xtian populace and begin the process of 'ghettoization' as professions and livelihoods were denied us.

Karen Armstrong, the popular English Historian has written that the attacks on Jews during the crusades “would bequeath to the Western world…a long and shameful tradition of hatred for the Jewish people.”  Armstrong cites the attacks as the first pogroms of Europe and has suggested that the prejudices  and predelictions of Nazi Germany were inspired by the crusades.   Similar motives have been attributed to the crusaders by James Carroll, who in a recent popular study claimed that attacks on Jews during the crusades were “Europe’s rehearsal for the extermination of Jews that would not conform.”

For 200 years,  Eretz Yisroel,  or the geographical area of Palestine was dominated by the Crusaders, who, following an appeal by Pope Urban II, came from Europe to recover the Holy Land from the infidels. In July 1099, after a five-week siege, the knights of the First Crusade and their rabble army captured Jerusalem, massacring most of the city's Jewish inhabitants. The city was captured on July 15th, with Godfrey entering it through the Jewish quarter, where a terrible massacre ensued.  Barricaded in their synagogues,  Jews defended their quarter, only to be burnt to death or sold into slavery,  the survivors being later redeemed by Jewish communities in Italy.  The Jewish community of Jerusalem came to an end and was not reconstituted for many years.  During the next few decades, the Crusaders extended their power over the rest of the country, through treaties and agreements, but mostly by bloody military victories. The Latin Kingdom of the Crusaders was that of a conquering minority confined mainly to fortified cities and castles.  When the Crusaders opened up transportation routes from Europe, pilgrimages to the Holy Land became popular and, at the same time, increasing numbers of Jews sought to return to their homeland. Documents of the period indicate that 300 rabbis from France and England arrived in a group, with some settling in Acre,  others in Jerusalem.

After the overthrow of the Crusaders by a muslim army under Saladin (1187), the Jews were again accorded a certain measure of freedom, including the right to live in Jerusalem. Although the Crusaders regained a foothold in the country after Saladin's death (1193), their presence was limited to a network of fortified castles. Crusader authority in the Land ended after a final defeat (1291) by the Mamlukes, a muslim military class which had come to power in Egypt.  But not before Jews in and out of our land had suffered eight crusades.

For centuries the Vatican has attempted to obtain control of Jerusalem, which started with the Crusades. Despite their recent discussions with Danny Ayalon and other Israeli Government representatives, it can't be that the Vatican is only interested in "access to their Holy Sites" in Jerusalem, (sites which are NOT theirs, btw ...).  They already have that access,  as well as legal jurisdiction under Israeli law for their institutions and assets in Jerusalem.   (Scandalously, in my opinion).   Also, when these "Holy Sites" were under the jurisdiction of the Jordanians from l948-l967, no Pope demanded the "internationalization of Jerusalem".  So what is their agenda??

The Roman Catholic Church,  but not just them,  ALL of xtianity in general need to have certain versions of events be played out for them to stand in front of mankind and proclaim that their "Messiah has returned.” Of course, this Messiah will be as false as the first one was supposed to be and entirely fictional.  Moshiach, the REAL Moshiach, of course NOT being their j-sus Idol, and being expected Only by Jews will come but Once,

For centuries xtianity has been pushing its "replacement" doctrine which states that the they have replaced the Judaic B'rit with them being "the New Jews", under a 'new covenant'.   Or being "ingrafted" into Israel in some way.  All Nonsense.  The Roman Catholic Church wants Israel to lose sovereign control over the Old City of Jerusalem so that "the promises to the literal descendents of Abraham will be applied to the 'New Jerusalem',  i.e. them!!   If Israel controls Jerusalem it is evidence that Rome's claims are not legitimate and that the literal interpretation of Torah is correct.  They hate Torah .... referring to it as "old", implying "outdated".    How can xtianity claim to be "the New Jerusalem" and "rightful heir to the Kingdom of G*d" if the Jews control Jerusalem?

The end goal of xtians is to seize control of the Old City of Jerusalem out of the clutches of the state of Israel and Jewish Control.  The Old City of Jerusalem, as well as most of the eastern half of the city, and the ability to control & build on Mount Tsion as they want in OUR Captital City is their land grab hope.  That is the Goal of recent catholic claims and xtian rantings.  That same Vatican has committed itself, in public and in a written agreement, to ensure that the Palestinians have sovereignty in the Old City of Jerusalem.   Xtianity floods EY with people and propoganda at alarming rates.  And, xtianity will ally with islam to wrest control of Eretz Yisroel from Jews .... that has begun to happen tentatively already.  Their 'end time' agenda provides for another Shoah ... a Slaughter of Jews ~ on a mass scale.  Just see the video below ......  it is Shocking in it's portrayal of their deception, and John Hagee, deceiver masks as a "friend" of Yisrael!!!

The end time agenda is very clearly spelled out by Hagee below ..... From the xtian book:~ "But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them, bring them here and kill them in front of me."  ~ Luke 19:27 ~

London ... the Seventh Year!!

It is now Seven years Since what has come to be known as 7/7.  Seven years ago, yesterday, Fifty-two people died after Islamic Jihadists detonated backpacks on board three Underground trains and a LT bus. The attacks by four suicide bombers on the London Transport system on 7th July 2005 were the largest mass murder in Britain in peacetime, killing 52 passengers on The Tube and on the No. 30 bus at Tavistock Square and injuring 700 more, many seriously. Injured or not, and serious or not all who lived through the experience carry vivid and unsettling memories.

About 3,000 people were directly affected ~ 52 died, more than seven hundreds were injured and thousands hurt in a way that cannot be seen from the outside. I was in London that summer & it affected me, and I wanted to blog a remembrance & I thought & thought about how it is best to remember those who died,  seven years on. What would be a fitting tribute, honouring the 52 lives lost on 7 July 2005, ensuring that the world will never forget them.  And then it came to me ....

The attack on the Tube trains and the buses that summer morning was an attack on all of us, anyone who lives and works and travels in the beautiful, busy, bustling city of London, or any city on this planet. The public were the targets, not politicians or those in power. Ordinary people, who continue to feel they are the targets of terror attacks, every time they use public transport, even today, seven years on.

These were the ordinary Londoners and visitors whose lives were cruelly destroyed on 7th July 2005. These are the people who are missed by sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers and partners. They were innocents going about their everyday lives who represent the diversity and dynamism of the great World City that London is. The bombers looked them in the eye and decided their lives were not important. We need to say back that these were important lives, lives that cast a real shadow and count.

So, here is the count .... and the lives that were blown away, seven years ago, today.

Follow Me ... The Yoni Netanyahu Story!

Today,  July 4th,  is Yonatan Netanyahu's  36th Yahrzeit.  Pictured above is his 'baby brother',  present Prime Minister of Eretz Yisrael, Binyamin Netanyahu at his brothers graveside.

Yonatan "Yoni" Netanyahu
( יונתן "יוני" נתניהו) ~  March 13th, 1946 ~ July 4th, 1976 ~  was commander of the elite Israeli army commando unit Sayeret Matkal.  He was killed in action, the only military casualty of Operation Thunderbolt in Entebbe, Uganda, where the Israeli military rescued hostages after an aircraft hijacking. He was the leader of the assault, later renamed 'Operation Yonatan' in his honour. He was awarded the Medal of Distinguished Service for his conduct in the Yom Kippur War.  Yoni Netanyahu joined the Israeli Defence Forces in 1964. He volunteered to serve in the Paratroopers Brigade, and excelled in the Officer Training Course. He was eventually given command of a paratroopers company. On June 5th, 1967, during the Six Day War, his battalion fought the battle of Um Katef in Sinai, then reinforced the Golan Heights. During the battle, Yonatan received a wound to his elbow while helping rescue a fellow soldier who lay wounded deep behind enemy lines.

After the Six Day War, Yoni Netanyahu went to the United States to study at Harvard University, but returned a year later because of the War of Attrition. Instead, he studied at the Hebrew University of Y'rushalayim, returning to active military service after half a year.  In the early 1970's he joined Sayeret Matkal (Israeli special forces), and in the summer of 1972 was appointed as the unit's deputy commander. During that year, he commanded a raid (Operation Crate 3) in which senior Syrian officers were captured and exchanged in return for captive Israeli pilots. The following year he participated in Operation Spring of Youth ( מבצע אביב נעורים‎) in which the alleged terrorists and leadership of Black September were selectively killed by Sayeret Matkal, Shayetet-13 and the Mossad.  During the Yom Kippur War in October 1973, Netanyahu commanded a Sayeret Matkal force in the Golan Heights that killed more than 40 Syrian Commando officers in a battle which thwarted the Syrian commandos' raid in the Golan's heartland. During the same war, he also rescued Lieutenant Colonel Yossi Ben Hanan from Tel Shams, while Ben Hanan was lying wounded behind Syrian lines.

Following the war, Yoni was awarded Medal of Distinguished Service ( עיטור המופת‎), Israel's third highest military decoration, for his wartime conduct. He then volunteered to serve as armour commander, due to the heavy casualties inflicted on the Israeli Armored Corps during the war, with a disproportionate number of these in the officer ranks. Yoni Netanyahu excelled in Tank Officers course. and was given command of the Barak Armored Brigade, which had been shattered during the war. Netanyahu turned his brigade into the leading military unit in the Golan Heights.

In June 1975,  Yoni Netanyahu left the Armoured Corps and returned to Sayeret Matkal as unit commander. He was killed in action on July 4th, 1976. while commanding Operation Entebbe, his first big operation since returning to the unit. Netanyahu was the only Israeli soldier killed during the raid (along with three hostages, all of the Popular Front for the Liberation of palestine members, and dozens of Ugandan soldiers). He was shot outside the building being stormed, and would soon die in the arms of Ephraim Sneh, commander of the mission's medical unit. The operation itself was considered a success by Israel, and was posthumously renamed Mivtsa Yonatan (Operation Yonatan) in honour of Yoni Netanyahu.

Netanyahu was buried in Jerusalem's Military Cemetery at Mount Herzl on July 6th following a military funeral attended by enormous crowds and top-ranking officials. Shimon Peres, then Defence Minister, said during the eulogy that “a bullet had torn the young heart of one of Israel’s finest sons, one of its most courageous warriors, one of its most promising commanders ~ the magnificent Yonatan Netanyahu.”

In 1980 many of Netanyahu's personal letters were published. Author Herman Wouk describes them as a "remarkable work of literature, possibly one of the great documents of our time."  Many of his letters were written hurriedly under trying conditions in the field, but according to a review in the New York Times, give a "convincing portrayal of a talented, sensitive man of our times who might have excelled at many things yet chose clearsightedly to devote himself to the practice and mastery of the art of war, not because he liked to kill or wanted to, but because he knew that, as always in human history, good is no match for evil without the power to physically defend itself."

And, as it seems this is now a book review ... so, some excerpts from "The Letters of Yoni Netanyahu" ....  Yonatan Netanyahu's Page at Amazon!!

"I would rather opt for living here in continual battle than for becoming part of the wandering Jewish people. Any compromise will simply hasten the end," (A letter to his brother Benyamin Netanyahu on his decision to stay in Israel)

"As you no doubt know from reading the papers, the situation in Israel is, in a word catastrophic! Not a day passes, literally, without a border incident, sabotage, mine explosion, murder, ambushes, shootings and setting fire to fields. During all the years of my service and of my living here the situation has never been so tense. In the army, everyone is impatient ~ when are we finally going to strike back?!! We have complete confidence in our strength. We are capable of anything". (October 1966)

"The real cause is the sense of helplessness in the face of a war that has no end. For the war has not ended, and it seems to me that it will go on and on… This is the 'quiet' before the next storm. I've no doubt that war will come. Nor do I doubt that we will win. But for how long? Until when?.. We're young, and we were not born for wars alone". (A year after the Six Days War)

"In another week I'll be 23. On me, on us, the young men of Israel, rests the duty of keeping our country safe. This is a heavy responsibility, which matures us early... I do not regret what I have done and what I'm about to do. I'm convinced that what I am doing is right. I believe in myself, in my country and in my future". (1969, on his decision to return to enlist in the IDF)

On Death ~ "that's the only thing that disturbs me. It doesn't frighten me; it arouses my curiosity. It is a puzzle that I, like many others, have tried to solve without success. I do not fear it because I attribute little value to a life without a purpose. And if I should have to sacrifice my life to attain its goal, I'll do so willingly". (At age 17)

Author Herman Wouk noted that "Yoni" Netanyahu was already a legend in Israel even before his death at the age of 30.  He wrote ...."He was a taciturn philosopher-soldier of terrific endurance, a hard-fibred, charismatic young leader, a magnificent fighting man. On the Golan Heights, in the Yom Kippur War, the unit he led was part of the force that held back a sea of Soviet tanks manned by Syrians, in a celebrated stand; and after Entebbe, "Yoni" became in Israel almost a symbol of the nation itself.  Today his name is spoken there with sombre reverence."

Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu said his "hard line against all terrorists" came as a result of the death of his brother.  I'm not going to comment on that, but I'm instead going to say I Love Yoni Netanyahu, who is for me the very definition of a Hero. He sacrificed his life at age 30 in Israel's defence...determined that terrorism would not succeed. Terrorists become 'martyrs' so that other people can die. Yoni died so that other people could live. I wish I had better words to honour his memory, which I choose to do on this Independance Day.  Yoni gave his life for Freedom for Captured Jews at Entebbe and their return to the Jewish State.  It is fitting that today is his yahrzeit.

This Youtube trailer below is from a newly released documentary of his life.  I haven't yet seen it. Follow Me.  Oh! that we would!!!!!

Leiby's Legacy ... One Year On!!

Today, Sunday 11th Tammuz,  5772, marks the First Yahrtzeit of Leiby Kletzky, ZT"L.

It is difficult to forget the Saga of last Summer, when the news of this tragic petirah became known.  Leiby’s tragic Petirah at the young age of 9 shook hundreds of thousands from communities worldwide, it seems All Yidden globally were touched by this tragedy.  In his Zchus, thousands around the world were brought closer to Hashem through Teshuva and Maasim Tovim.

If you don't know the tragic tale of this little boy it is blogged here .... Tragedy & Tears ... Thoughts for Leiby Kletzky!!

The family is expected to mark the Yahrtzeit in private, and it should be so.  The pictures above were released on his website to mark this yahrzeit.  Four weeks ago, the family held a small event for the Hakomas Matzeiva.

A matzeivah was erected at the site of his kever at the Washington Cemetery in Deans, New Jersey.  Leiby’s father, Rabbi Nachman Kletzky, accompanied by his Rav, Rabbi Binyomin Eisenberger, mara d’asra of Khal Heichal HaTefillah of Boro Park, led a group of about 25 men to the Kever, where Tehillim was said and Keil Molei Rachamim was recited.  The Matzeivah ~ with an acrostic identifying him by his name, Yehudah ben Nachman ~ describes Leiby as a “yeled nechmad vena’im yorei vetomim,” calling him a “korban tzibbur” and describing how all of Klal Yisroel was moved to tefillah and teshuvah as a result of his heartbreaking petirah.

May Leiby’s neshamah have an aliyah, and may Rav Nachman and Itta Kletzky, along with their children and family, have a nechamah.

I shall learn Torah today in his merit.  May his Memory be for a Blessing for our Broken world.
