"Exactly What I Thought" ...

Helen Thomas, the veteran journalist who was booted from her job earlier this year over her anti-Jewish remarks, said in a radio interview on Tuesday that she had said "exactly what I thought."

Thomas, aged 90, told an Ohio radio station that she was fired from her job as a correspondent for Hearst News Service because her criticism of Jews and Israel hit the "third rail" of American politics.

"You cannot criticize Israel in this country and survive,"    Thomas told WMRN-AM.
In response to a question from a journalist in May, Thomas said that the Jews should get "the hell out of Palestine" and that Israeli Jews should go "home" to places like "Poland, Germany and America."

In the Tuesday interview, Thomas said that "they" (presumably Jewish individuals) had twisted her statements. The Utube Video below shows her original & unedited interview. See for yourself just what is "twisted" here!

"They distorted my remarks, which they obviously have to do for their own propaganda purposes, otherwise people might wonder why they continue to take Palestinian land," said Thomas, a daughter of Lebanese immigrants who over the years did little to hide her pro-Arab views.   So, yet MORE Anti-semetic remarks ..... what a Surprise!!

It sort of follows on from her remarks at the end of May that "the Palestinian people are occupied and it’s their land” and that Israelis should “go home” ~ to Poland, Germany, America “and everywhere else.”

“May that day come soon,” she added. .... ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

What is frightening is that this sentiment calling on Jews, especially Israelis, to go and live in Europe is often heard at rallies staged by anti-Semites and anti-Israel groups. There is something remarkably sad that the whole of Jewry is continuously pinned on modern Germany. Is this because six million were murdered & this genocide directed from there? Is this because the hatemongers who issue this call are hoping for a repeat performance??

The majority of Israelis are of Middle Eastern origin who were made refugees because of Nuremberg-style laws which were instituted by Arab Nationalists. The majority of Middle Eastern (Mizrahi) Jews escaped to Israel and suffered in silence, despite everything they lost, from loved ones to property, in their native lands. You won't find a single suicide bomber among the Mizrahi Jews, nor wistful cries for 'rights' of restitution & return to the world's media.

Furthermore, basic knowledge of history shows that modern-day Israel, like Syria, Lebanon and Jordan, was created from the spoils of the Turkish Empire. Indeed, the land that is now Israel has been under colonial power since the Jews were banished from the area. It was never an independent "Palestine" but a land filled with dirt and swamps, uninhabitable until Zionist Jews from all over the world took a desert and made it bloom.

Could it be that Helen is not erudite enough to know that jews have lived in Israel (yes, before the Holocaust) for nearly 4,000 years (from time of Abraham)? So, when Jews make Alyiah they are in fact, 'going home'!!!

She is right in this respect though ... the land is occupied. I am firmly against this occupation. It is time for the deceptive Arab squatters to stop occupying the Land of Israel, including Gaza. It is time to 'Free Israel from Occupation'. And, I am coming to the opinion it is time to issue a call to worldwide Jewry to "Come Home"!!!

  2. She is ridiculous. This is what I find the most confounding about antisemitism. Everyone in Europe, etc freely admits that Jews are not originally from there, ethnic outsiders... and religious outsiders. Everyone knows they came from Israel. So, obvious solution is to try to get rid of them. yet, when they return to the origin, that is somehow wrong too? I guess the actual hope is that they will just die... ugh.

  3. I think the most dangerous thing about saying "Go Home" to Poland, apart from it's obvious inaccuracy is that in a lot of spurious minds it is synonomous with Auschwitz .... the largest Death Camp ever. Is it supposed to inspire terror??

I will answer her with the words of Lt. Gabi Ashkenazi ~ IDF Chief of Staff .... ""Never again will Jewish children stare in fear begging to be spared. Never again will we let our enemies determine the fate of the Jewish people and we will able to protect our sons."

You know, the overwhelming feeling I get when I look at Helen is that she really should be 'The Wicked Witch of the West'. Or maybe she belongs in the tale of Hansel & Gretel .... Am I wrong????
